We’re down to the wire! Our final preparations are now underway for the 2011 Information Architecture Summit in beautiful Denver, Colorado. This year’s Summit seems to have a decidedly ‘quantitative’ slant, with numerous keynotes and talks focusing on data and numbers and their value to the UX community. New York Times columnist, blogger and number cruncher extraordinaire Nate Silver will deliver the opening keynote, and Lou Rosenfeld, founder of Rosenfeld Media and author of the upcoming ‘Search Analytics: Conversations with your Customers’, will be on hand Saturday to deliver the day’s closing talk.

Saturday morning will also feature Richard Dalton’s talk ‘A Practical Guide to Measuring User Experience’ and at 3:45pm Julie Strothman and I will present  ‘Numbers Are Our Friends: Information Architects Make the Best Web Analysts’, a practical look at the reasons UX practitioners and IAs should care about analytics, as well as some of the best and easiest ways to get started. If you’re looking to geek out about data and metrics then we hope to see you there!
